Khaberni - Artist Elham Shahein expressed her great appreciation for the Sawiris family (one of the prominent business families in Egypt), emphasizing her deep respect for the role they have in supporting Egyptian art and culture.
She mentioned in statements on the fringe of the annual "Sawiris Cultural Awards" in its twenty-first edition, that the family's effort is a true addition to the cultural scene and reflects an awareness of the importance of creativity in building societies.
She affirmed that Egypt possesses an exceptional repertoire of culture, art, and civilization, which grants it a unique distinction among nations. She considers these elements the strongest traits distinguishing the Egyptian character and preserving its historical status.
She spoke about the Sawiris Cultural Award, describing it as an immensely important prize due to the genuine support it provides to creatives, emphasizing that creativity is achieved only through strong writing and a sincere artistic vision, wishing well-being and happiness for everyone.
Regarding her relationship with the public, Elham Shahein said that the love of people is the greatest gift God has given her, explaining that a person with a kind heart reflects this in their features and presence, and remains youthful in spirit no matter how old they get.
Regarding the idea of presenting an artistic work about her biography, Shahein clarified that she is not currently thinking about undertaking this project, but she did not rule out that her niece, Elham Safi El-Din, might present her biography artistically in the future, perhaps after her passing, if she deems the time appropriate.
