Khaberni - Syrian media reported on Thursday evening that there is an active crossing movement in the neighborhoods of Ashrafiyeh and Sheikh Maqsoud in Aleppo province, indicating that in the last few hours, 12,000 Syrians have been displaced from their locations.
It added that, amid the sounds of explosions in the city of Aleppo, the Syrian government has provided shelters for the displaced and buses to transport them to safe locations.
It mentioned that the shells of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are targeting populated neighborhoods, explaining that 4 million civilians live in Aleppo city, all within the range of SDF fire.
Aleppo Governor Azzam Al-Ghareeb said on Thursday that according to the information received, a significant number of members of the Syrian Democratic Forces "SDF" defected in the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh, and others fled, which paves the way for an important field change in those areas.
Al-Ghareeb added: "The internal security forces are now preparing to deploy inside the mentioned neighborhoods, to fully secure them and ensure the safe return of the displaced residents to their homes."
In a related context, the Central Response Committee of Aleppo announced the opening of 10 shelter centers within the city, in addition to centers in Afrin and Azaz in its countryside, to secure the reception of the displaced from the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh, who exceeded 142,000, amid comprehensive security and service measures.
The committee stated that it coordinated efforts to secure a safe and organized exit for the displaced from the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh, indicating that the internal security forces had opened two humanitarian corridors for this purpose.
It explained that the Directorate of Transportation worked on securing means to transport those leaving the neighborhoods of Ashrafiyeh and Sheikh Maqsoud to shelter centers or the destinations they choose, confirming the continuous monitoring of field situations and calling on residents to comply with the instructions issued by the specialized teams.
