Khaberni - Moroccan Wydad Athletic Club has announced its signing of veteran French striker Wissam Ben Yedder, in a free transfer deal to strengthen the ranks of "the Red Team" during the upcoming challenges.
The Moroccan club stated on its official Facebook account that Ben Yedder has signed a six-month contract with the possibility of extending for one season.
The statement added, "We welcome the joining of our new player to the team, and we are confident that Ben Yedder will be a strong and quality addition to the team and will contribute with his expertise and technical and physical capabilities in enhancing the team's ranks and achieving the club’s and its fans' aspirations."
Ben Yedder, of Tunisian descent, is one of the prominent scorers in European fields over the last decade, having moved between notable clubs throughout his career such as Toulouse and Monaco in France, and Sevilla in Spain, though he moved between Sepahan FC in Iran and Sakaryaspor in Turkey over the past year 2025.
Internationally, Wissam Ben Yedder has scored 3 goals in 19 international matches with the French national team, contributing to its victory in the UEFA Nations League in 2021.
