Maan Labor Directorate conducts 2854 inspection visits during the year 2025

Khaberni - The Ma'an Governorate Labor Directorate conducted 2854 inspection visits during the year 2025, covering private sector establishments in the governorate, as part of its efforts to monitor the enforcement of labor law provisions and applicable regulations and instructions.

On Tuesday, the Director of Labor in Ma'an, Khulood Al-Badour, said that the number of labor complaints received by the "Protection" electronic platform reached 92 complaints, noting that the inspection teams in the directorate issued 293 violations and directed 220 warnings to establishments that did not comply with the provisions of labor law and the regulations and instructions issued under it.

She explained that the number of job opportunities provided by the Employment and Vocational Guidance Department in the directorate for the residents of Ma’an Governorate during the past year reached 275 jobs in the private sector, covered by social security, including 4 job opportunities for persons with disabilities.

She added that the number of certified experience certificates reached 495, the number of vocational guidance sessions for various categories was 44, and the number of new companies registered on the national employment platform "Record" was 45 companies, pointing out that the directorate approved 50 employment contracts for Jordanian workers.

Al-Badour confirmed that the work team in the directorate implements effective strategies aimed at connecting job seekers with vocational opportunities that suit their skills and qualifications, in addition to the directorate's efforts to achieve partnerships with the private sector to enhance employment opportunities and open new fields of work.

She indicated that the responsibility of the Ma'an Labor Directorate revolves around implementing the Ministry of Labor's policies through organizing the labor market and providing employment opportunities for job seekers in coordination with the private sector, such as organizing job days.

She said that the directorate undertakes tasks of inspections and labor relations and follows up on laws and regulations related to labor, in addition to providing information and statistics related to labor market data in the governorate, in support of the national employment objectives.

Al-Badour pointed out that the directorate deported 132 non-Jordanian workers of various nationalities for violating Article (12) of the Labor Law.
