Department of Architectural Engineering at Amman Arab University organizes a creative workshop in clay modeling

Khaberni  - Within the framework of enhancing the practical and creative aspects of the educational process, and in application of the directives of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widian, the President of Amman Arab University and under the supervision of Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, the Dean of the College of Engineering, the (Architek) team in the Department of Architectural Engineering organized the first workshop on the art of clay modeling, presented by the student Lana Abu Zaid from the Department of Architectural Engineering and the clay modeling trainer, aiming to enable students to explore architectural concepts practically through clay modeling, and enhancing their understanding of masses, spaces, and spatial relationships in an interactive and creative way.

Wherein the student Abu Zaid, with the participation of (30) students from various university specializations, reviewed the basics and essential techniques of modeling, in addition to providing practical training that contributed to the development of students' skills and honing their creative abilities, amidst notable interaction reflecting the students' interest in such quality activities.

In this regard, Dr. Al-Assaf explained that it is planned to expand the scope of this workshop in the future to be held at the university level, with the participation of a larger number of students from various related specializations, with the aim of generalizing the benefits and enhancing the culture of creativity and artistic modeling in the university environment. He added that such initiatives contribute to linking theoretical aspects with practical application, developing creative and design thinking skills among students, aligning with the university's directions in developing modern university education methods, preparing students for the job market, and enhancing their ability for architectural expression and innovation within a stimulating and interactive educational environment.

These training workshops come within the framework of Amman Arab University's commitment to support extracurricular activities aimed at providing a stimulating educational environment that contributes to the development of students' creative and practical skills, honing their talents in various fields, thereby enhancing the integration of academic and practical aspects, and keeping up with the requirements of creativity and innovation in higher education.
