Khaberni - The Minister of Education and Training, Azmi Mahafzah, said that 701 schools lack messengers "announcers" in Jordan.
Mahafzah added, in response to parliamentary questions presented by MP Suleiman Al-Kharabsheh, that the per-diem system is implemented according to the needs of the schools, where individuals are used to carry out cleaning tasks within the school on a daily wage and on an irregular basis, for several days which do not total a full month.
He continued that it is not required that the same person be used for more than one day for those tasks, and the matter depends on the financial allocations available.
Regarding the establishment of new schools, he clarified that all current and previous schools of the Ministry of Education and Training are staffed with all educational staff, either through appointment or through additional teaching, in accordance with the state budget approved for the Ministry of Education’s appointments.
