AlWehdat starts its movements to lift the ban on contracts

Khaberni  -  Al-Wehdat club management has started its movements to reach a financial settlement with a number of local players, who have previously filed complaints with the football federation.
The Al-Wehdat management continues to communicate with former players in the team, namely Ahmad Ilyas, Rajai Ayyad, and Ibrahim Al-Jawabreh, to lift the local ban on the team, by reaching a solution satisfactory to both parties and finding a way to end the ongoing financial dispute between them, according to Al-Ghad.

Al-Wehdat team, along with Al-Ahli and Al-Jazeera, are prohibited from registering local players during the current registration period, which began on the first of this month and will continue until the 28th of the same month, while Hussein Irbid team is the only club prohibited from contracting with foreign players.
Last summer, the “Players’ Status Committee” obligated Al-Wehdat club to pay 61,557 dinars to the three players, with a value of 27,019 dinars for player Ahmad Ilyas, against 24,187 dinars for player Rajai Ayyad, and 10,351 dinars for player Ibrahim Al-Jawabreh.
The club's management hopes to resolve the case of the local players as quickly as possible to lift the ban, and start contracting with a number of players the club wishes to join the football team, with the possibility of the technical staff, led by coach Jamal Mahmoud, releasing a number of players currently in its ranks, through loans or sales to other clubs.
Al-Wehdat club announced yesterday the termination of the contract with the Nigerian striker Junior Ajayi by mutual consent, as the player did not perform as expected technically during his presence in the first half of the season, with compensating the player by recruiting a foreign striker in the coming days, while the contract termination of the Omani player Mundher Al-Alawi has not yet been settled.
Al-Wehdat is allowed to contract with foreign players in the current phase, as there is no complaint against it from foreign players at FIFA, noting that the club tried to bring back the team's former striker, the Ivorian Cedric Henry, but the negotiations reached a difficult path.
Since the start of the current season, Al-Wehdat fans have been concerned about their team's fate, due to the lack of strong deals that would enable the team to climb to the podiums, which was later reflected on the ground, through the loss in the Super Cup at the beginning of the season, losing the chance to compete for the football federation shield, and an early exit from the AFC Champions League's group stage, as well as occupying the fourth position in the professional league standings after 10 rounds.
“The Green” hopes to compete for the title of the professional league and regain it to its treasury after last obtaining it in the 2020 season, in addition to retaining the title of the Jordan Cup, which it won in the last three seasons, noting that it has reached the quarterfinals, where it will meet Al-Salt in the upcoming period.
