Khaberni - The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani, affirmed his commitment to enhancing his country's strength, independence, and sovereignty, indicating the end the "International Coalition's" mission in the country and the takeover of the "Ain Al-Assad" base within days.
The Iraqi Prime Minister said today, Sunday, during the memorial service held by the "Popular Mobilization Forces" on "the sixth anniversary of the martyrdom of the Victory Leaders and their companions in 2020": "With the martyrdom of the Victory Leaders, Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran lost two great leaders who spent their lives in Jihad and combating terrorism".
He added: "Their crucial participation in confronting the terrorist organization ISIS was one of the most important reasons for the historic victory.. Martyr Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis gave everything he had for Iraq, during the days of Jihad against the dictatorial regime, and after its downfall, and his contributions in establishing the new political system".
Al-Sudani continued: "Martyr Al-Muhandis always advised the fighters to preserve the lives of civilians abducted by the terrorist gangs, and he did not discriminate between citizens based on religion, sect, or component.. and Martyr Hajj Qasem Soleimani provided support to the Iraqi government then, and moved with the Iraqi fighters across all fronts until the moment of declaring victory".
The Iraqi Prime Minister's speech stated:
“We have accomplished one of the most significant sovereignty-related files, represented by ending the mission of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI)."
Keeping weapons exclusively in the hands of the state is an Iraqi decision and vision, free from any foreign interventions or dictates."
Implementing this vision was one of the main articles of the government's program, and it is in line with the call of the highest religious authority."
The "Occupying Entity's" government attempted to drag Iraq into the battlefield and target it during the events of October 7 and thereafter, in order to execute its plan."
A strong, recovered Iraq represents a cornerstone in the stability of the region."
We worked hard, in cooperation with the loyal national powers, to protect our country from war, and to continue its development and building in various fields."
