Khaberni - The UAE expressed on Saturday its deep concern regarding the ongoing escalation in Yemen, and urged Yemenis to "prioritize wisdom, exercise restraint, and ensure the establishment of security and stability in the country".
This is her first public comment since the southern separatist movement in Yemen announced that it plans to hold a referendum on independence within two years.
The UAE mentioned in the statement that it emphasizes, "stemming from its firm commitment to the security, stability, and prosperity of Yemen and the region, the importance of stopping escalation, prioritizing the language of dialogue over confrontation, and addressing the existing differences among Yemeni brethren through understanding and consensus on sustainable political solutions, through a rational and responsible approach that elevates the interest of the nation and its people.".
