Khaberni - Zarqa Municipality announced, through its Professional Licensing Department and Legal department, a judicial ruling sentencing one of the shop owners to six months in prison after being convicted for issuing a forged professional license and using it as if it were an original license, contrary to legal statutes.
The Legal Department, through its director Mr. Omar Khaled Abu Zeina, reported that the forged license was detected during extensive field tours conducted by committees of the Professional Licensing Department, as part of the new regulatory measures approved by the Chairman of Zarqa Municipality Committee, Engineer Khaled Al-Khashman, aimed at tightening control and distinguishing between genuine and forged licenses.
It was clarified that the license was issued using a "scanner" method, which constitutes blatant forgery of official documents and the use of forgeries.
It was also noted that the municipality, through the Professional Licensing Department and its new management, staffing, and field inspection committees, detected other forged professional licenses issued by the same method, which were then referred to the Zarqa First Instance Court, and the cases are still under judicial consideration awaiting verdicts against the involved parties.
Zarqa Municipality, through its media center, affirmed its commitment to implementing strict regulatory measures without leniency, and will take all legal measures against anyone proven to be involved in forgery or use of illegal documents, in order to uphold the rule of law and regulate municipal work.
