How many martyrs, wounded, and injured in the Gaza war!? But Abu Ubaidah is different; he is a distinguished media phenomenon who knew how to reach the audience and create a unique awareness. Throughout the Gaza war, he waged a high-quality psychological war, innovating linguistic expressions, utilizing body language, finger gestures, attire, and voice modulation which made him more impactful on everyone, thereby becoming a global icon awaited by millions who listen more to him than to major official global speakers.
Abu Ubaidah attained a lofty status in the minds and hearts of millions during the war despite his face not being shown; the essence was in the content. He instilled more fear in the Israeli entity than those who bore arms, posing a greater imminent danger to the Israelis, possibly even more than the resistance itself.
Psychologically, he waged a war on Israel, striking its morale. On the fiercest days of the war, he described it as a cowardly, criminal entity stuck in the sands of Gaza, a temporary entity prone to disappear, and weaker than a spider's house, describing settlers as rabble with no bonds, rogues without roots.
The point is that we are living through a revolution in visual, audible, and written communication with fantastical technologies; yet, have we benefited from this? Abu Ubaidah sets an example, having cleverly harnessed the weapon of media, making it shine brighter than actual weaponry accustomed to; politics is the art of the possible, so let's utilize the tools at our hands (however few) to defend our homelands, and blessings on he who said: "Let words help if money cannot."
