A Heavy Blow for Real Madrid Kylian Mbappe out of the Spanish Super Cup

Khaberni  - French striker Kylian Mbappe will be absent from the field for at least three weeks, following MRI scans carried out on Wednesday that confirmed the deterioration of his condition in the knee, according to the French newspaper “L'Equipe”.

As a result, the player will miss participating in the Spanish Super Cup scheduled between January 7 and 11 in Saudi Arabia, in addition to facing Real Betis in the Spanish League on Sunday.

The newspaper mentioned that Kylian Mbappe had been experiencing some discomfort in his knee during recent matches in La Liga, and his condition was not a cause for concern for the medical teams, but the results of recent exams prompted the club to decide to rest him to avoid worsening the injury.

The report indicated that the player felt unable to accelerate while running, which raised his concerns, especially after participating in all the season's games so far, leading to an aggravation of the problem in his knee.

Now, it will be determined whether his absence will be limited to the designated three weeks or if it could be shortened to minimize the impact of his absence on upcoming matches, with a particular focus on the Spanish Super Cup, which he is now confirmed not to participate in.

Real Madrid later confirmed the news via a short medical statement:
“Following the exams conducted today on our player Kylian Mbappe by the medical services at Real Madrid, he has been diagnosed with a concussion in his left knee and is under observation to monitor the progression of his condition.”
