Khaberni - The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate stated that the diving and ambulance teams in the Western Irbid Civil Defense Directorate dealt this evening with a drowning accident involving two sibling children aged (8 and 9) inside one of the agricultural ponds in the Zamalia area.
The diving teams worked on extracting them from inside the pond, while the ambulance teams took care of transferring them to the Abu Ubaida Government Hospital, and an investigation into the incident has been opened.
The Public Security Directorate urges citizens to monitor children and not allow them to approach agricultural ponds or water accumulations resulting from rainfall so as to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
