Khaberni - Dutch player Georginio Wijnaldum, captain of Al-Ettifaq, scored two goals, causing Al-Nassr to stumble for the first time this season in the "Roshen" Saudi Professional League, as the teams drew 2-2 on Matchday 11 this Tuesday.
Last round, Al-Nassr achieved the best start in the history of the league by winning 10 consecutive matches before their streak was halted on Tuesday at the "Igo" Stadium, home to Al-Ettifaq.
Wijnaldum, the former Liverpool player, put Al-Ettifaq ahead first with a spectacular shot from outside the box. In the second half, João Félix scored the equalizer for Al-Nassr in the 47th minute, and then his shot hit the back of his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo and found the net of Al-Ettifaq in the 67th minute.
With ten minutes to go before the end, Wijnaldum received the ball inside the box and fired it powerfully into Nawaf Al-Akeedi's goal, securing a draw for his team and causing Al-Nassr to stumble for the first time this season.
Al-Nassr now has 31 points, leading the standings with a 3-point lead over second-place Al-Taawoun and 5 points ahead of Al-Hilal, who will face Al-Khulood, while Al-Ettifaq holds the eighth position with 18 points.
João Félix and Cristiano Ronaldo continue to lead the top scorer race with 13 goals each.
