The Nigerian team defeated their Ugandan counterpart (3-1) Tuesday in the third round of Group Three matches at the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2025.
Paul Onuachu (28) and Raphael Onyedika (63 and 67) scored the goals for Nigeria.
Rogers Mato scored the only goal for the Ugandan team (75).
With this victory, Nigeria raised their points total to nine, securing full marks at the top of Group Three.
Nigeria had previously secured their qualification to the round of sixteen of the continental tournament, clinching the top spot.
In contrast, Uganda's tally stagnated at a solitary point in the last and fourth position.
The match witnessed the sending off of Uganda's goalkeeper Jamal Salim in the 57th minute.
