Khaberni - Amman Al-Ahliya University President, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, with the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor Dr. Asid Znibat, welcomed: former Minister of Justice, His Excellency Lawyer Ayman Odah, and Her Excellency Senator Judge Ehsan Barakat during a specialized seminar on The Role of Judiciary in Arbitration, organized by the Faculty of Law under the supervision of Dr. Shadi Al-Tarawneh.
The seminar discussed the role of the judiciary in arbitration at various stages, whether before the start of arbitration, during it, or after issuing the arbitration judgment, in addition to discussing the limits of the "judiciary supervisory authority" over arbitration procedures, and the judicial decisions issued in this regard, starting from challenging an arbitrator to the final decision issued by the Court of Cassation enforcing the arbitration judgment.
The session also highlighted the differences between national and international arbitration, and the importance of the legal framework governing them, enhancing trust in arbitration mechanisms as an alternative and effective means of dispute resolution, and contributing to the consolidation of justice and legal stability.
