Khaberni - The Secretary General of the Jordan Valley Authority, Engineer Hisham Al-Hayssa, inspected Ibn Hammad Dam and Al-Karak Dam today, Tuesday 30/12/2025, following the recent floods that hit the area and the dams reaching their full capacity.
During the tour, Al-Hayssa reviewed the condition of the dams and their affiliated facilities, followed up on the operational and maintenance procedures to ensure high efficiency and sustainability of work, confirming the readiness of the dams and their technical ability to handle the incoming water volumes without any observations affecting structural safety.
He mentioned that the Jordan Valley Authority continues to monitor the dams around the clock through specialized technical teams to follow the water levels and apply the highest water safety standards, contributing to the protection of infrastructure and enhancing the use of water resources to benefit the agricultural and water sectors.
Al-Hayssa appreciated the cooperation of the citizens and the efforts of the working staff who continue to perform their tasks efficiently, affirming the ongoing work to ensure the readiness of the dams and tackle any potential climatic developments.
