The Ministry of Labor launches a pilot version of the Labor Market Information System

Khaberni - The Ministry of Labor launched, on Tuesday, a trial version of the Labor Market Information System as an initial stage for the system, which will be available in both Arabic and English as a comprehensive reference for labor market data and will provide a diagnosis of the market reality.

Minister of Labor Khaled Al-Bakkar stated that the system aims to support decisions made by the government to be evidence-based, relying on updated data about the labor market and matching supply with demand.

The minister noted that the system will be available on the ministry's website and will enable the private sector to be a partner in it concerning supply and demand files, labor market needs, employment, and data analysis, pointing out that the system includes multiple data and various indicators classified according to international classifications and standards.

He emphasized that the system in its first phase was developed in partnership with the Department of Statistics, the Social Security Corporation, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, data from specialized research centers such as the Jordanian Strategy Forum, the Vocational Training Corporation, and the Development and Employment Fund, in addition to coordination regarding this system with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship to ensure the highest cybersecurity standards on government servers.
