Khaberni - The low-pressure systems that struck the Gaza Strip caused the death of 25 Palestinians, including 6 Palestinians since the beginning of this month.
According to the Palestinian news agency "Wafa", the civil defense and rescue teams in Gaza reported that the region experienced low-pressure weather systems accompanied by heavy rain, strong winds, and severe cold in the current month of December.
They pointed out that 18 residential buildings previously damaged by bombing collapsed entirely due to the effects of the weather systems and rainfall during the same period, and more than 110 residential buildings suffered from "serious" partial collapses, posing a direct threat to the lives of thousands of residents living in or around them.
The civil defense teams confirmed that 90% of the tents of displaced persons were blown away and flooded due to the heavy rain and strong winds throughout various areas of the sector.
Thousands of families lost their temporary shelters and meager possessions of "clothing, blankets, and bedding," exacerbating their humanitarian suffering.
