Khaberni - Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree regarding the recall of 261,000 citizens for mandatory military service in the year 2026.
The decree stipulates that the recall will occur from January 1 to December 31, 2026.
This decree, which was published today, Monday, on the official legal documents website, will include citizens aged 18 to 30 who are not currently in reserve and are fit for military service, according to "Russia Today".
The recall for mandatory military service in 2026 will, for the first time, span the entire year instead of being confined to two specific periods in spring and autumn, according to the new law, which was enacted in November 2025.
However, the military personnel will be dispatched to their service locations in two phases: from April 1 to July 15, and from October 1 to December 31.
