Khaberni - Samsung Electronics announced that it will reveal its latest lineup of kitchen appliances at the ‘CES 2026’ exhibition, which includes the newest versions of the ‘Bespoke AI Refrigerator, the built-in microwave oven, and the integrated cooking oven. Alongside the updated designs across various devices, Samsung will highlight significant improvements in AI capabilities based on vision technology, powered by Google ‘Gemini’ and ‘Google Cloud’, with the aim of simplifying daily tasks and enhancing the overall kitchen experience.
Commenting on this, the Executive Vice President and Head of R&D at Samsung Electronics Digital Appliances division, Jung Sung Moon, said: "Through its leadership in applying vision-based AI technologies, Samsung has led the innovation journey in the kitchen appliances market. With this cooperation with ‘Google Cloud’, we reach a new level of innovation, continuously developing better and more sophisticated user experiences for the coming year."
Introducing the latest Samsung refrigerators equipped with ‘AI Vision’ technology
At the CES, Samsung showcases the new ‘Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub’, equipped with the advanced generation of ‘AI Vision’ technology. This upgrade comes powered by capabilities built on Google Gemini, in a pioneering step to integrate this technology within a refrigerator.
In previous versions, ‘AI Vision’ technology was capable of recognizing up to 37 types of fresh food and 50 types of pre-registered processed foods directly on the device. The new version to be revealed at ‘CES’ is designed to exceed these limits, expanding the range of recognized food items to offer a more comprehensive and flexible experience.
The technology is planned to be capable of recognizing processed foods without the need for pre-registration, automatically adding their names to the food list to enhance ease of use. Samsung also aims to enable the system to recognize items named by the user themselves, allowing foods stored in personal containers to be added to the list with ease.
With improved accuracy in ingredient recognition, managing the food list becomes clearer and easier than ever, opening up broader prospects for smarter kitchen experiences. During the ‘CES’ exhibition, Samsung will highlight the enhanced capabilities of ‘AI Vision’ technology and new use cases, showcasing the future of the smart kitchen based on true customization.
Designing a unified kitchen with an advanced stainless touch
Samsung also introduces a new range of ‘French Door’ refrigerators, ‘Slide-in’ ovens, and new models of ‘OTR’ microwaves, offering consumers a more modern look and a uniform stainless finish that supports a coherent and integrated kitchen design.
The new ‘Bespoke AI French Door’ refrigerator features a ‘Zero Clearance’ design, allowing it to be installed with a side space of only about 4 mm. The door depth has also been reduced by 50 mm compared to traditional models, allowing full access to drawers and fridge contents when the doors are fully opened. The ‘AutoView’ feature, a transparent door, provides the possibility to quickly check the contents without having to open the refrigerator.
The updated ‘Slide-in’ oven features an entirely new design with a uniform stainless finish that includes the control panel, handles, and door, along with a new bar-handle design and a ‘Precision Knob’ control knob that enhances safety levels during use.
Samsung also reveals two types of ‘OTR’ microwaves, models ‘Air-Fry OTR’ and ‘DualVent OTR’. The most significant development in the ‘DualVent’ model comes through redesigning the suction system, as the cooking surface depth in ovens often extends beyond the upper microwave depth, making it difficult to capture smoke from the front burners. The new dual venting system addresses this issue by adding a front vent wing alongside the bottom venting, significantly improving smoke capture efficiency compared to the previous model.
Visitors to the Samsung booth at CES 2026 will be the first to see these new innovations. To learn more about Samsung's participation in the exhibition, you can visit Samsung’s page at CES.
