The Administrative Judiciary Court ruled to stop the decision that banned Haifa Wehbe from singing in Egypt, officially paving her return to the art scene.
Legal sources announced that the Administrative Judiciary Court ruled to halt the execution of the decision by the Syndicate of Musical Professions denying artist Haifa Wehbe a permit to hold concerts in Egypt, and nullified the decision completely, obligating the administrative party to cover expenses and attorney fees, according to her lawyer, Sherif Hafez, Haifa's defense.
Hafez clarified in an official statement that his client filed the lawsuit following the sudden issuance of the decision, which was made without any legal basis, formal investigation, or hearing her statements, making the administrative decision flawed and necessitating its suspension and annulment.
The lawyer also pointed out that the decision was marred by an abuse of power, as it was not aimed at protecting public interest or the profession, but rather it restricted Haifa Wehbe's artistic activities and impacted her artistic career without any legal justification.
