Khaberni - Angelina Jolie is preparing for a new stage away from permanent residence in Los Angeles, with plans to live in more than one country after completing her family arrangements.
Angelina Jolie is ready to start a new stage that had been postponed for years, away from permanent residence in the United States, after a long period during which her name was linked to complex divorce proceedings with Brad Pitt. Consistent reports indicated that the Oscar-winning actress, aged fifty, has actually started offering her family home for sale, after undergoing recent refurbishment, making it available for inspection by pre-qualified buyers.
A source close to People magazine revealed that Jolie is poised for a life not centered around Los Angeles, noting that she looks positively at 2026 and the long-awaited space it brings. Jolie is a mother to six children from her former husband, Maddox (24 years old), Pax (22 years old), Zahara (20 years old), Shiloh (19 years old), and twins Knox and Vivienne (17 years old).
The couple had reached a divorce settlement in December 2024, ending an eight-year legal dispute. According to knowledgeable sources, Jolie's ability to move outside the United States had long been linked to custody arrangements. After the separation, she bought a historic home in the Los Feliz area, previously owned by the famous Hollywood director Cecil B. DeMille, with the aim of keeping her children close to their father.
Jolie explained this decision in an interview with Harper's Bazaar in 2019, stating that she wanted to live just five minutes away from the father of her children's home, clarifying that she would be ready to move as soon as they reached the age of eighteen.
The Daily Mail contacted Jolie's representatives for a comment, without receiving a response so far. Jolie had previously stated to People magazine that she never wanted to live permanently in Los Angeles but preferred to stay for the sake of her younger children. With the twins, Knox and Vivienne, approaching their eighteenth birthday on July 12, 2026, acquaintances expect that she will move shortly thereafter.
According to reports, the proposed plan involves dividing her time between Cambodia, France, and areas in Africa. Cambodia is poised to be her main base, as it is the country from which she adopted her eldest son Maddox in 2002. France is connected to the memory of the twins' birth in the city of Nice, while Africa represents a humanitarian and familial station, as she adopted her daughter Zahara from Ethiopia, and gave birth to her daughter Shiloh in Namibia.
Another source stated that these places hold very special value to Jolie, and that she has close friends there whom she considers family, noting that her overall feeling has significantly changed after she became legally unmarried. In October 2025, US Weekly quoted a source saying that Jolie appears more calm and relaxed, seeing that her presence in Los Angeles had served its purpose, and she is ready for the next stage.
This orientation coincides with previous statements made by Jolie about her American identity. During her participation in the San Sebastian Film Festival, she talked about her sense of distancing from a country she no longer recognizes, asserting that her view of the world had become global and equitable. She also criticized President Donald Trump's policies earlier, and during his first term wrote in a New York Times article that values should not become a victim of the pursuit of more security.
