The Directorate of Agriculture for the North-Western Desert District reported that 25,163 sheep and goats have been tagged in the district.
The Directorate stated in an announcement on Sunday that as part of the ongoing national tagging campaign in the district which started last month, goats and sheep have been tagged at 128 farms spread across the district’s villages.
It added that farmers who have had their livestock tagged, must visit the Animal Production Division at the Directorate to proceed with the issuance of livestock possession booklets, urging farmers who have not yet been tagged to check their phone numbers and ensure their validity.
