Khaberni - The Ministry of Labor's inspection teams have issued 5803 violations from the beginning of this year to the end of last November, in addition to issuing 7950 warnings to facilities found non-compliant with the provisions of the labor law and related regulations and instructions.
According to the report of the Central Inspection Directorate at the Ministry, the inspection teams conducted 28507 inspection visits during the same period, alongside 22 targeted inspection campaigns aimed at specific economic sectors.
Regarding labor complaints, the Ministry of Labor through its "Protection" electronic platform received 9028 complaints until the end of last November, with 4656 complaints resolved in favor of the workers, contributing to the enforcement of workers' rights.
In addition, 1061 violations were issued against facilities that did not comply with the ministry's procedures, while the number of labor complaints still in process was 90.
Complaints about non-payment of wages topped the list with 3783 complaints, followed by complaints about not granting a certificate of experience with 684 complaints, and then service termination complaints in indefinite contracts totaling 600 complaints.
There were also 598 complaints filed against legal procedures, in addition to 529 complaints related to suspending a worker from work.
In the child labor dossier, the report pointed out that 179 cases were detected until the end of last November, resulting in 50 warnings and 101 violations issued against the offending facilities. Additionally, the ministry conducted 50 awareness activities to reduce child labor, while the designated electronic platform for reporting child labor under the legal age received 28 reports.
Regarding institutional nurseries, the inspection teams conducted visits to 408 facilities to verify their compliance with providing nurseries for their employees' children, which resulted in issuing 31 violations and 127 warnings to non-compliant facilities.
As for foreign labor, the report showed that deportation decisions were issued against 5707 non-Jordanian workers until the end of last November, while the deportation of 391 workers was canceled, in addition to canceling the deportation of 509 workers after paying the deportation cancellation fees.
Regarding complaints concerning domestic workers, 908 complaints were resolved during the same period.
