Khaberni - The under-23 football Olympic team drew with their Uzbek counterpart with no goals, in the friendly match that took place today on Saturday in Qatar.
The Olympic team is holding a training camp in Qatar, in preparation for their participation in the Asian Cup scheduled next month in Saudi Arabia.
The Olympic team will play a second friendly match against Japan in Qatar on the first of January.
The team will kick off their Asian Championship journey in Group One by facing Vietnam on January 6th at the auxiliary stadium of King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, then they will face Saudi Arabia at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium, and conclude the group stage against Kyrgyzstan at the auxiliary stadium of King Abdullah Sports City.
The team's roster includes 23 players: Abdul Rahman Suleiman, Murad Al Falouji, Salama Salman, Ali Hijbi, Mohammed Al Shatti, Jafar Samareh, Arafat Al Haj, Ahmad Ayman, Mohammed Taha, Ayham Al Sammarie, Ahmad Al Maghribi, Abdullah Al Manase, Saleh Freij, Hashem Al Mubaideen, Saif Suleiman, Yousef Qushi, Ouda Al Fakhouri, Mo'men Al Saket, Mahmoud Dheeb, Ameen Al Shannayna, Anas Al Khab, Khaldoun Sabra, Bakr Kalbouneh.
According to the tournament system, the 16 participating teams were divided into four groups, with each group containing four teams competing in a single-round robin format, where the top two teams from each group qualify for the quarter-finals.
