The Iranian President Masoud Bazshakian stated on Saturday that Iran is "in a state of total war with the United States, Israel, and Europe," considering that these parties "do not want the country to stand on its feet," referring to the ongoing political, economic, and military pressures.
In an interview with the website of the Supreme Leader and the Islamic Republic, Mr. Ali Khamenei, Bazshakian explained that "the Zionist entity's assessment was that aggression against Iran would lead to the collapse of the regime, but this did not happen because the people stood by the regime." He added that "the home front has shown strong cohesion, and the country's affairs have been managed smoothly and successfully during the period of aggression," in his words.
The Iranian President continued, saying: "We will overcome pressures and sanctions with strength, and there is no force in the world capable of frustrating the Iranian people and their path if we are united," asserting that "the unity of the Iranian society will frustrate all the enemies’ conspiracies." He also emphasized that "the Iranian armed forces are advancing with strength," noting that they "have become stronger today than before the aggression, despite all the problems and restrictions imposed on the country."
At the end of his talk, Bazshakian directly warned of any new attack on Iran, saying: "If they attack us again, they will receive an even harsher response," reflecting a clear escalation in the tone of the Iranian political rhetoric.
These statements come in the context of the recent Iranian-Israeli war, which saw a direct exchange of strikes and escalated tension to unprecedented levels, whether through mutual targeting or military and security messages across multiple regional fronts.
Observers believe that the regional scene remains open to escalation possibilities, whether directly or through allied parties, amidst continuing mutual threats, the complex paths of diplomacy, and increasing talk of new confrontation scenarios that could reignite the conflict on a broader scale, if efforts fail to contain the escalating tension between Tehran and Tel Aviv.
