US President Donald Trump called on the Justice Department to "expose" the Democrats who cooperated with Jeffrey Epstein by publishing documents related to the man convicted of sex crimes.
Trump wrote on his platform "Truth Social": "A million additional pages about Epstein have been discovered. The Justice Department is obligated to devote all its time to this deception orchestrated by the Democrats."
He added that "it was the Democrats who collaborated with Epstein, not the Republicans. Let's publish all their names, expose them, and get back to work for our country!"
He continued, saying: "The radical left does not want us to talk about Trump's and the Republicans' achievements, only about Epstein who died a long time ago. It is a new persecution campaign!" without referring to the names of the Democrats mentioned in the documents.
Last week, the Justice Department started publishing documents and photos from the investigation into Epstein's case, the wealthy financier who died in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking minor girls.
The latest documents published on Tuesday contain many references to Trump, including documents detailing his trips on Epstein’s private plane.
