Khaberni - Media reports revealed that the summer transfer market might witness a sensational swap deal between two giants in European football.
The Spanish newspaper SER Deportivos reported that discussions are intensifying behind the scenes at Real Madrid regarding a heavy-duty swap deal, which involves Vinicius Junior moving in exchange for Portuguese player Vitinha from Paris Saint-Germain, a proposal that is increasingly supported by a large segment of the "Royal" club’s fans, who see it as a logical step that serves the team’s technical balance.
It added: "Despite everyone acknowledging the difficulty in finalizing such a deal, whether financially or negotiation-wise, what’s most important within the corridors of Santiago Bernabeu is the growing belief in the need for a midfielder of this caliber."
It continued: "Real Madrid, since Toni Kroos's departure, has been suffering from the absence of a player capable of organizing the rhythm, controlling the tempo of the game, and connecting the lines calmly and expertly, a role many believe Vitinha is capable of performing."
And it furthered: "Vinicius, despite his significant technical and marketing value, has become a name proposed in potential sale scenarios, especially with talk of offers that could exceed the 100 million euros mark. Such an amount would give Real Madrid significant flexibility in the transfer market, whether to finance the Vitinha deal or to rebuild the midfield in line with the team's new philosophy."
Vitinha, in turn, has proven with Paris Saint-Germain that he is a pivotal player with a high playing vision, precision in passing, and the ability to manage games under pressure, qualities that Real Madrid's current squad is missing. Therefore, he is viewed within the Madrid house as a more strategic option than merely a fleeting deal.
Amidst the complexities of the deal and the difficulty of letting go of a star like Vinicius, it remains certain that Real Madrid has begun re-prioritizing, placing the midfield at the forefront of its interests, in an attempt to fill the void left by one of the pillars of its golden era.
