French police on Friday arrested a man suspected of injuring three women in stabbing incidents in the Paris Metro network during the peak of the year-end celebrations in the French capital, according to prosecutors.
Prosecutors stated that police used surveillance camera footage and tracked the attacker's mobile phone to locate him in the Val d'Oise area north of Paris.
The Paris transport authority RATP reported that the attacks that injured three women occurred at three different stations in the center of the capital between 16:15 (15:15 GMT) and 16:45, at the stations "Opéra", "Rue de Metz" and "République".
