Maggi Bou Ghosn speaks boldly about stars from Lebanon and Syria and reveals secrets for the first time

Khaberni - In an episode characterized by frankness and emotion, Lebanese actress Maggi Bou Ghosn appeared as a guest on the program "Nishan X" via "Al Jadeed" channel, where she opened her heart to talk about her personal life, her family, her artistic career, and relationships within the artistic community.

Exceptional relationship with her father

Maggi Bou Ghosn spoke emotionally about her close relationship with her father, Joseph Bou Ghosn, stating that it is based on unconditional love and ongoing support. The emotions peaked with the surprise appearance of her father on air, where he spontaneously expressed his deep attachment to his daughter, driving both Maggi and Nishan to tears, in a scene that elicited wide audience interaction.

Marriage and religious differences

Bou Ghosn discussed her marriage to producer Jamal Sanan, explaining that she married at a Sheikh's but did not publicly convert to Islam, considering it "unnecessary." She confirmed that her children have read both the Bible and the Quran together, in a family experience based on respect and openness, away from religious fanaticism.

The artistic community

Maggi firmly responded to rumors about her, whether about her husband remarrying over her or accusations of her putting a "veto" on some artists, saying: "No one has a favor on me, and no one can cancel me," indicating that the artistic community consists of people "with many faces," and emphasized that she does not coerce anyone and is not led by a dictatorial mentality.

She settled the debate about her relationship with actress Cyrine Abdelnour, confirming a reconciliation between them, but now their relationship is limited to "a distance of respect" only, with no friendship or even social media contact.

She mentioned that she refuses to work again with some actresses, considering that "art is joy, not retribution," and some thought she was referring to Daniella Rahme in her statement, as Nishan asked her "Which star would you not work with till death?" and the audience believed his mention of the series was an indirect reference to Daniella Rahme who was her co-star in the famous work in its three parts.

Maggi expressed her desire to star in a joint lead role with Syrian actress Sulafa Mimar, one of her favorite Syrian actresses, describing her as a "beast in acting." She also expressed her profound love for singer Najwa Karam, and sang a part of her famous song "Am Yerguf Albi" (My Heart Trembles).

She gave advice to singer Nancy Ajram, saying: "Nancy is a skilled actress, and it is crucial that she presents a cinematic or dramatic work, as she owns a wonderful dialogue language with the camera."

Fear of disease

Bou Ghosn spoke honestly about the challenges she faced as a mother and the difficult moments her children went through due to her busy filming schedule. She also revealed her health fears, noting that her weakened immune system makes her fear the return of cancer, and discussed the will she has made for her children in case she faces this possibility again.

Tweeters on "X" commented on their opinions about the episode, saying: "An episode without filters, Maggi speaks clearly about her relationship with all her colleagues," and others said that her episode was not just an artistic meeting, but an honest humanitarian space.
