Zaid Al-Kilani, the head of the pharmacists, said on Wednesday that the debt for medicines and medical supplies on the King Abdullah University Hospital is about 25 million dinars, at the time decided to approve an agreement recently to settle medical debt accrued by King Abdullah University Hospital.
According to the agreement, the government will pay 10 million dinars to the hospital this month, and it will commit to paying an amount of 3 million dinars monthly starting from the beginning of next year; until the full amount estimated at about 39,600 million dinars is paid, contributing to enabling the hospital to sustain its services.
Al-Kilani added in his talk to the program "Voice of the Kingdom" that the debt on the Unified Government Purchase which includes (Ministry of Health, Medical Services, Prince Hamzah Hospital, Jordan University, King Abdullah University Hospital) is 360 million dinars, at a time when the budget allocates 130 million dinars for the Ministry of Health to purchase medicines.

Al-Kilani emphasized that in a previous stage, there were no debts incurred by the King Abdullah University Hospital, underscoring the importance of revitalizing medical tourism.
He spoke about meetings that were recently held to discuss the medical tourism file, where the issue of restricted nationalities and other issues related to the medical tourism file were discussed.
