Khaberni - The central wholesale market affiliated with the Greater Amman Municipality, today, Wednesday, saw an active supply movement totaling approximately 2932 tons of various commodity types. The imports were distributed to include 1918 tons of vegetables, and770 tons of fruits, in addition to 244 tons of leafy greens.
According to the central market bulletin and price list issued for today, the main varieties have registered a notable stability at their lowest price levels; with the price per kilogram of tomatoes ranging between 5 and20 piasters, and dry onions and potatoes between 15 and30 piasters.
The list also showed price variations in other varieties; with cucumber prices ranging between 30 and50 piasters, and carrots between 35 and50 piasters, while lemons recorded the highest price on the list, ranging between 50 piasters and one dinar per kilogram. On the front of fruits and other types, the local banana price ranged between 50 and80 piasters, and the black Ajami eggplant between 10 and20 piasters, and cauliflower between 15 and25 piasters.
