US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he wants the next chairman of the Federal Reserve (the Central Bank) to lower interest rates if the markets are in a good condition.
He added that "anyone who disagrees with me will never be the chairman of the Federal Reserve".
Trump has often disagreed with the current bank chairman Jerome Powell regarding the lowering of interest rates and its pace. Powell's term ends next May.
