US officials said that Trump has become less optimistic in his private talks about the possibility of reaching a deal with Iran, expecting to issue his final orders for military strikes on Tuesday evening.
Trump gave the Iranians until 8 PM Eastern Standard Time to reach an agreement before he begins to implement his threats.
