Raed Raba' al-Dharawi, the chairman of the Public Freedoms and Human Rights Committee and representative, submitted a request to the Prime Minister, calling for allowing ambulances and civil defense vehicles to use the express bus lane, which benefits from its high flow speed and being free from traffic congestions.
Al-Dharawi confirmed that using this lane would reduce the response time in emergencies, which directly contributes to saving citizens' lives, emphasizing that the proposed measure would not burden the public transport system.
He added that this step represents a humanitarian advancement that prioritizes the safety and life of the citizen, especially in light of increasing traffic congestions.
Meanwhile, the Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya responded that the proposal is currently under study by the relevant authorities, in preparation for making an appropriate decision regarding it.
