Morocco Approaches the Top 10 in FIFA Rankings

Khaberni  - The Arab national teams ended the year 2025 with an exceptional sparkle in the FIFA World Football Rankings, released today, Monday, December 22.

The Moroccan team led the Arab and African teams, occupying the 11th position globally, following their victory in the Arab Cup 2025 in Qatar.

Despite this achievement, the "Atlas Lions" remained just one step away from entering the top ten clubs, separated from the Croatian team, ranked tenth, by a very slight margin of only 0.54 points.

The Jordanian team advanced to the 64th position globally, driven by reaching the Arab Cup finals and delivering a notable performance, while the Palestinian team "Al-Fida'i" recorded the highest ascend in terms of points in this edition with an increase of 14.18 points.

Spain topped the global football chart to finish the year 2025 in first place in the rankings, outperforming Argentina, which came in second, while France maintained the third position.

The list of the top ten is completed with the presence of England, Brazil, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Croatia in that order, amid a relative stability of the first 33 positions.

The Kosovo national team drew attention as the most improved team over the past 12 months, achieving a tremendous leap of 19 positions to reach 80th place globally.

By the end of this year, Europe maintained its dominance in the top 50 list with 26 teams, followed by South America and Africa with 7 teams each, reflecting the football power map as we approach the challenges of 2026.
