The Director of Public Security, Major General Dr. Obeid Allah Al-Muayta visited the brotherly state of Qatar and met His Excellency Abdullah bin Khalaf Hattab Al Kaabi, the Qatari Deputy Minister of Interior, as part of enhancing relations of security cooperation and exchanging expertise between the two countries.
During the meeting, both parties discussed ways to develop joint cooperation in security and policing fields, exchanging successful experiences and practices, which contribute to improving institutional performance efficiency and enhancing readiness in facing various security challenges.
The visit included field tours of several specialized security departments, where he visited the General Department for Drug Enforcement and learned about the working mechanisms in combating the drug menace, as well as the General Administration of Civil Defense, and got acquainted with the emergency response system, general safety procedures, and crisis and disaster management.
The visit also included the National Command Center and the Qatari Police Academy, where they reviewed modern training and educational programs, and methods of preparing and qualifying security personnel according to the best practices and international standards.
Major General Al-Muayta reaffirmed the deep brotherly relations that link the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the state of Qatar, praising the advanced Qatari experience in security work, whereas both sides emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and joint cooperation that serves the security and stability of the two brotherly countries.
