Opening of a factory expansion in Dhulail to employ 500 Jordanian men and women

Today, the Minister of Labor, Dr. Khaled Al-Bakkar, inaugurated the expansion of one of the clothing and textile factories in the Dhulail district to employ 500 Jordanian men and women, raising the number of Jordanians employed in the factory to about a thousand workers.

The Minister, with the presence of the Governor of Zarqa, Dr. Firas Abu Qaoud, and the representative of the textile sector in the Jordan Chamber of Industry, Engineer Ihab Al-Qadri, agreed with the General Manager of the factory, Kishore Mansakhani, and its CEO, Ali bin Saeed, on the establishment of a production branch of the factory in one of the governorates to employ Jordanians, especially since the investor who establishes a production branch in the governorates is offered capital and operational support by the Ministry of Labor to encourage him to employ Jordanians.

Al-Bakkar said that His Majesty King Abdullah II places great importance on the textile sector due to its significant role in providing job opportunities for Jordanians, which is why the sector has seen remarkable development over the last ten years and increased investment volume.

He emphasized that the Ministry of Labor is keen on enabling the private sector to increase the employment of Jordanians, affirming that the private sector is a main partner in achieving the goals of the economic vision directed by His Majesty King Abdullah II.

The Minister stressed that the government is keen on providing an inclusive and safe investment environment for investors to provide more job opportunities for Jordanians in various sectors.

He pointed out that the Vocational Training Corporation, in partnership with the private sector, is ready to provide training and qualification for Jordanians to work in the textile sector, noting that a number of investors confirmed to the Ministry of Labor their intent to expand investments in the textile sector to employ more Jordanians.

The Minister toured the new factory expansion and listened to a detailed explanation from the General Manager, Kishore Mansakhani, about the expansion project and its objectives.

Mansakhani said that the factory was established in Jordan at the end of 2023. He noted that the new expansion will raise the number of Jordanian workers in the factory to about a thousand.

He confirmed that the factory management coordinates with the Ministry of Labor to visit two sites in the governorates to study their conditions for establishing a production branch of the factory.
