The World Food Programme, affiliated with the United Nations, estimated the number of people in need of food aid and other assistance in Sudan at 33 million.
Last week, the World Food Programme announced that it will begin to cut the food rations provided to Sudanese individuals – who face the risk of famine – due to lack of funding, starting from next January.
