Representative Dr. Hussein Al-Amoush directed a parliamentary question to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, via the Speaker of the House of Representatives, based on the provisions of Article (96) of the Constitution and in accordance with Article (123) of the House of Representatives' Internal Regulations, about the nature of the movements and activities of the new American Ambassador to the Kingdom, James Holtsneider.
Al-Amoush inquired about the nature of the movements and activities being undertaken by the American Ambassador, particularly in the social aspect, and the meetings and events he participates in within the Kingdom, querying whether these movements are coordinated in advance with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, and in accordance with the diplomatic norms and agreements in force, including the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
Al-Amoush also questioned whether the American Ambassador's movement within the Kingdom is unrestricted, or if it is subject to specific controls that apply to all heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Kingdom.
Al-Amoush requested, in case there are any controls or restrictions, an explanation of the legal and regulatory frameworks that govern those movements, especially regarding activities of a social or public nature.
