Turkish security sources stated that the head of the Turkish Intelligence Service, Ibrahim Kalin, met on Saturday with the head of Hamas and its chief negotiator, Khalil Al-Haya, and they discussed the necessary measures to move to the second phase of the peace plan in Gaza.
The sources, who requested anonymity, clarified that Kalin met with the Hamas delegation in Istanbul within the framework of the Gaza ceasefire agreement and that both sides discussed the steps needed to prevent what they described as Israeli violations of the ceasefire.
The sources added, without going into details, that they also discussed the necessary measures to resolve outstanding issues in preparation for moving to the second phase of the plan.
