Details of the death of Lebanese artist Walid AlAlaili at the age of 65

Lebanese artist Walid Al-Alaili passed away this Saturday morning at the age of 65, leaving behind a rich artistic legacy that includes over fifty works spanning television drama, cinema, and theater. 

Director Clovis Atallah published on his official Facebook account a picture of the deceased and commented: "We announce with great sorrow the death of our colleague and star, Walid Al-Alaili, may God have mercy on him and grant him paradise with the righteous and the truthful".

He continued in his post: "The Actors' Guild in Lebanon, both its president and members, extend their deepest condolences to the noble family, all colleagues, and fans for the loss of our beloved and humanitarian star colleague, praying that Almighty God accepts his kind soul in the divine embrace and eternal paradise, where there is no pain, tragedies, or weeping".

Although the cause of death was not officially announced, reports indicated that a sudden health crisis was behind his passing, while other reports suggested that it might have been a heart attack.

Who is Walid Al-Alaili?
Walid Al-Alaili was born in Beirut in 1960 to a Lebanese father, Dr. Abdel Karim Al-Alaili, and a Swiss mother from Engelberg.

He spent a significant time in Switzerland during the Lebanese Civil War before returning to his homeland in 1995, where he started his artistic career in 1999.

The late artist was married to a lady away from the limelight named Ghuslin and had two children, Temur and Shahrazad. 

His most notable television and cinematic works
The late artist had a career spanning more than 50 works that varied between television drama, cinema, and theater. 

He participated in prominent Lebanese and Arab series such as "Saladin Al-Ayoubi," where he portrayed the character "Guy de Lusignan" in 2001, in addition to "Ruby", "Al-Shahroura", "Janna Al-Omr", "Underground" with Egyptian star Amir Karara, and "Gate of Jerusalem", with his last screen appearance being in 2023 through the series "Godfather Beirut".

In cinema, he participated in films such as "Al-Fajr", "Taltet", and "Farah", and he presented notable works on stage, the most prominent of which are "Anis and Morris" and "Road of the Sun".
