Who is the new General Manager of the Tourism Promotion Authority

Khaberni - Dr. Ramzi Al-Maaytah is among the leading economic experts specialized in tourism development, strategic planning, and investment on both regional and international levels, based on a professional career filled with working with governments, international organizations, and major projects in the tourism sector.

Al-Maaytah holds a Master's degree in Economics from Arizona State University in the United States, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Jordan, in addition to being fluent in Arabic, English, Spanish, and French.

Dr. Al-Maaytah has held high-ranking leadership and advisory positions, notably his role in the Neom project in Saudi Arabia as the Director of Tourism Economic Development and Marketing, and as a Sector Director and Expert at the Qatar Investment Authority for the Tourism and Travel sector, in addition to his role as the Director of the National Tourism Strategy 2040 project at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism in Oman, and as the Director of the Oman Vision 2040 project in the Ministry of Economy.

He has also led international developmental programs through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Jordan and worked as an expert in economic development through tourism and hospitality with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), as well as his experience in the private and diplomatic sectors, where he served in leadership positions at Global Exchange Group, worked as an economic advisor at the US Embassy in Jordan, Regional Director in the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), and as the Investment and Trade Officer at the Department for International Trade (DIT) in London.

Dr. Ramzi Al-Maaytah is regarded as a model of the Jordanian expert capable of linking economic policies with sustainable tourism development, owing to his strategic vision and extensive practical experience in managing major projects and attracting tourism investments.
