Kuwait Exempts Whistleblowers of Illegal Additions in Citizenship Files

Khaberni - Kuwait has exempted those submitting reports of any illegal additions in the citizenship file documents from the stipulated legal penalties, during their submission within the deadline set until the end of the current year.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior stated that this exemption step is part of its enhancement of transparency principles, and correcting the legal status associated with citizenship files.

It also clarified that this measure also comes within its continuous approach of allowing the concerned parties an opportunity to correct their legal status without accountability, encouraging them to take initiative in disclosure and cooperation, which protects rights, ensures the integrity of procedures, and the application of the law according to the established legal frameworks.

At the same time, it mentioned that it deals with the reports with confidentiality, professionalism, and responsibility, according to what was stated in a statement published by "Al-Qabas" and according to the legal procedures followed, in a way that ensures the preservation of the rights of all parties and the realization of public interest.

To this end, the ministry invited the concerned parties to benefit from this period and to initiate direct communication with the General Administration of Nationality and Travel Documents before it ends.
