Khaberni - The UAE Foreign Minister, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, expressed the UAE's condemnation and strong denouncement of the "terrorist plots that aimed to compromise the security and cause chaos and sabotage" inside Kuwait.
Bin Zayed confirmed "the UAE's full solidarity with Kuwait and its firm stand beside it in all measures it takes to protect its security and sovereignty", praising the efficiency and vigilance of the Kuwaiti security agencies which succeeded in thwarting this plot and revealing its elements, as reported by the Emirati Agency "WAM".
He emphasized the UAE's absolute rejection of all forms of terrorism and extremism, and anything that targets the security and stability of states, asserting the importance of enhancing regional and international cooperation to confront these threats.
He concluded by saying: "The security of the State of Kuwait is an integral part of the security of the United Arab Emirates," emphasizing the state's support and stand with all the measures Kuwait takes to maintain its security and stability, and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory, and protect its national achievements.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of the Interior had previously announced on the platform "X", about "thwarting a security plot that targets the security of the homeland and funding entities and 'terrorist entities'", in a quality operation of the State Security.
The operation resulted in the detention of 24 citizens, one of whom had his citizenship withdrawn, and in their possession were amounts of money linked to unlawful activities. Additionally, 8 fleeing citizens outside the country were identified and detected, one of whom also had his citizenship withdrawn.
The Ministry of the Interior affirmed that it is continuing firmly to thwart any plots that threaten the country's security or exploit its territory to support entities or terrorist organizations, stressing that it will not relent in prosecuting those involved to enforce the rule of law and protect the nation's security and stability.
