The US Army Launches Raids on ISIS Locations in Syria

A Syrian security source stated that the international coalition bombed the headquarters of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Homs desert, and in the countrysides of Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa.

In turn, American media outlets reported that the United States had begun a series of widespread air raids, targeting ISIS locations in Syria.

The New York Times reported, citing an American official, that the US military is targeting dozens of sites linked to the organization in various central regions of the country, in what has been described as the largest military operation in a long time, aimed at undermining the organization's capabilities and preventing it from spreading chaos.

According to leaks from the Pentagon to the newspaper, the sites targeted by the American aircraft include weapon and ammunition stores, operational support buildings, in addition to command and control headquarters of the organization.

The American official confirmed that the attack aims to cripple the movement of the organization and destroy its vital facilities used in planning terrorist attacks in the area.

Sources indicate that this air attack is not a fleeting operation, but a comprehensive attack that may continue for several continuous hours, ensuring that all targeted goals are achieved.

These developments come amid intelligence reports warning of the organization's attempts to regroup in the Syrian desert, prompting Washington to direct these fierce pre-emptive strikes to hit its centers of gravity.
