Artist Mohyi Ismail transferred to hospital after a sudden health scare

Khaberni - The Egyptian artist Mohyi Ismail was transferred to the hospital after suffering a sudden health scare while at his home.

According to media reports, Mohyi Ismail felt severely unwell and subsequently contacted a family member to check on his condition, which led to his transfer to the hospital to undergo the necessary examinations.

In response, director Ashraf Fayiq, the artist’s cousin's son, denied in circulating media statements all rumors of him suffering a brain stroke or being in a coma, clarifying that the condition was stable and that the medical examinations were conducted to check on his health. He is expected to leave the hospital within hours after reassurance about his health status.

Fayiq confirmed in his statements that Mohyi Ismail is among the artists whose personal lives are frequently subjected to rumors. He pointed out that exploiting the current health crisis on social media caused undue public concern, but reassured followers that the artist would soon regain his energy and be able to communicate with his audience.

This health scare comes just days after the controversy stirred by the artist regarding his honorary recognition at the National Theater Festival, where he expressed dissatisfaction with the honoring ceremonies and apologized for not attending the dedicated seminar, which led to the festival issuing a statement clarifying the reason for the cancellation and the need to respect schedules.

Artist Mohamed Riad, the festival president, explained that the artist has a significant artistic history, and that the selection of honorees is subject to clear criteria. He affirmed that his absence from the seminar was surprising but did not cause any personal conflict.

The last artistic participation of Mohyi Ismail in cinema was through the movie "The Treasure 2: Love and Destiny," which was released in theaters in 2019, featuring actors like Mohamed Saad, Mohamed Ramadan, Hend Sabry, Amina Khalil, Ahmed Rizk, Ruby, directed by Sherif Arafa.
