Amman Ahliyya University Inaugurates the Second Graduation Day Activities for the College of Engineering 20252026

Khaberni - Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of Amman Ahliyya University, the events of the Alumni Day 2025-2026 for the College of Engineering were inaugurated, where the opening ceremony was attended by a delegate of the patron, Professor Dr. Ahmad Hamdan, the Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs and the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry.

The opening ceremony was attended by the engineer Abdullah Asim Gousheh, Head of the Jordanian Engineers Association, and members of the Association's council, and the president of the Association's branch in the Balqa Province, along with Professor Dr. Bashar Al-Tarawneh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the deans, members of the faculty and administrative bodies, a group of students and graduates, in addition to representatives from leading companies in the engineering sector.

In his welcoming speech, Professor Dr. Bashar Al-Tarawneh emphasized that the Alumni Day represents a significant milestone for enhancing sustainable communication with college graduates, connecting them with the job market, and celebrating their academic and professional achievements, highlighting the leading role played by Amman Ahliyya University in supporting the higher education system.

Al-Tarawneh reviewed the advanced academic standing of the university at national and international levels. He pointed out that the university hosts more than 14,000 students and has achieved advanced global rankings, being the top-ranked university in Jordan and among the top 500 universities globally according to the Times Higher Education ranking, in addition to being ranked first among private universities in Jordan in the QS ranking (700–761).

In turn, His Excellency the Head of the Jordanian Engineers Association confirmed that this event is not just an academic occasion but reflects the continuity of the national engineering mission and its central role in state-building and enhancing pathways for development and innovation.

He noted that engineering is no longer a traditional technical specialty but has become a system of thinking, analysis, and ethical responsibility, pointing out that graduates enter the job market amid accelerating global engineering transformations including digital transformation, Building Information Modeling (BIM), artificial intelligence, sustainability, green building, integrated systems engineering, and the evaluation of the lifecycle of structures.

The activities of this day included four specialized dialogue sessions; the first session discussed success stories of Faculty of Engineering graduates, showcasing their professional experiences and career paths, while the second session discussed the applications of artificial intelligence in engineering and its role in developing solutions and increasing project efficiency. The third session focused on smart cities and sustainability, the future balance between technological advancement and environmental preservation, and the fourth session was dedicated to job market requirements after graduation, required skills, challenges facing graduates, and ways to prepare for professional excellence.

The events were managed by Engineer Munira Al-Tayeb, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Field Training Affairs.

At the conclusion of the event, Professor Dr. Ahmad Hamdan, Vice President of the University, and Professor Dr. Bashar Al-Tarawneh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, honored His Excellency the Head of the Jordanian Engineers Association and the participants in the dialogue sessions, recognizing their contributions and roles in making the Alumni Day a success.
