Khaberni - In affirmation of Amman Arab University's vision in preparing a pioneering generation capable of innovation and making a community impact, and under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Amman Arab University, represented by the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, won the "GEW Outreach Impact Award" during the closing ceremony of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025, held in the capital Amman, with broad participation from higher education institutions and national entities supporting the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem. This achievement reflects the advanced position that Amman Arab University occupies in serving the community and enhancing the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation. The award came in recognition of the university's role in reaching out to diverse and broad segments of students, youth, and community members through a series of quality events carried out during Global Entrepreneurship Week, under the supervision and coordination of the university's Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
In this regard, Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widian, President of Amman Arab University, emphasized that this victory aligns with the university's vision and mission to prepare a generation of graduates capable of initiating and innovating. He noted that the award represents an incentive to continue investing in and developing entrepreneurship programs, and to enhance the university's role as a nurturing environment for creative ideas and projects, highlighting the continuous support that the university's administration provides to the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and all activities that enhance the university's presence on the national stage.
Dr. Samer Ayyasrah, Director of the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Amman Arab University, mentioned that this achievement is the fruit of cumulative collective efforts, in which a large number of university members participated. He pointed out that the Center worked in coordination with relevant university units to design and implement programs and events aimed at raising awareness of entrepreneurship culture and enabling students to transform their ideas into real initiatives with social impact. He noted that during the event period, the university organized a number of specialized activities in entrepreneurship, innovation, and future skills, including lectures, workshops, panel discussions, and competitions, aimed at building students' capacities and providing opportunities for them to engage with issues of development and innovation, as well as expanding communication channels with the local community and related entities.
Dr. Ayyasrah expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the faculty members who contributed their expertise in delivering specialized lectures and workshops, and who played an active role in the success of the events and enriching their scientific and practical content. He also extended thanks to the Media and Public Relations Department at the university for its distinguished role in media coverage, documentation, and coordination, and to the university's presidency and president's office for their support and facilitation, which had a significant impact on achieving this success, and for the efforts of the administrative staff and volunteering students, praising their high spirit of responsibility and belonging during the organization and follow-up of the various activities.
Amman Arab University confirms that receiving the "Impact Award in Outreach" during Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025 marks an important milestone in its journey towards consolidating its position as a pioneering university.
